It's a Negroni base, so expect a similar experience with this drink. The blackberry syrup and rum push this towards a more fruity, dessert like drink, and the mezcal brings the extra depth. The smokiness of mezcal and bitterness of Campari amplify eachother and are mellowed out by the vermouth and syrup.

Ingredients

  • 1.5oz Campari
  • 1.5oz Sweet Vermouth
  • .75oz blackberry syrup
  • 1oz Rum
  • 1oz Mezcal

Instructions

  • Fill a shaker tin with ice. Pour in ingredients and stir until the outside of the tin is cold to the touch. Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube (or... just a pile of ice).
