The Proper Gentleman is a refined and elegant gin cocktail that showcases the botanicals of a quality gin. The combination of citrusy lemon juice and sweet simple syrup provides a perfect balance to the juniper notes in the gin. Elderflower liqueur adds a subtle floral hint, while the club soda helps to cut the sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Gin
  • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz Simple Syrup
  • 1/2 oz Elderflower Liqueur
  • 4 oz Club Soda

Instructions

  • Dry shake all ingredients except the club soda. Add ice and shake again. Strain into a chilled Collins glass filled with ice. Top with club soda.
  • Serve with a lemon wheel and sprig of rosemary, if desired.
